Dr. Barme is an absolutely superb doctor. He is that one in a million combination of talented physician, patient listener and deeply caring human being.
I went to him after a hospital stay – quite worried and concerned. Dr. Barme’s greeting was warm and encouraging. There was something about his manner that led me to immediately relax and feel I was in skilled hands. He asked why I was consulting him and listened carefully while I told my story. When I was done, he told me that he had reviewed all my hospital records and proceeded to give an explanation of what was going on that was both clear as a bell and seemed spot on. He was enormously empathetic and compassionate . He recommended next steps and reassured me that now that I was his patient, he was only a phone call away. Dr. Barme is a rare gem. You’ll be lucky and grateful to have him as your doctor.

My experience with Dr. Oberlin, Nurse Practitioner Danielle Shanahan, and all the nurses and nurse assistants and attendants, was great! One week and one day after the surgery and one day after the catheter was removed, the pain, although still present at the main incision, continues to diminish. I would highly recommend Dr. Oberlin and Golden Gate Urology to anyone needing prostate surgery.

Dr. Pienkny was a savior to me. In the midst of my normal hospital's "bureaucratic" issues and could not see me for a blockage and infection with my kidney stone, I was transferred to Dr. Pienkny. He was attentive, kind and all around wonderful. I'm very grateful to have been in his care.

I have never seen Dr. Oberlin and he doesn't even seem to know this. I never had an appointment with him ever.
I saw an entirely different physician in Golden Gate Urology.

All concerns addressed. Calls returned in timely manner. Appointments easy to arrange and kept on time. Entire office responsive. Dr. Oberlin always discussed options, and was reassuring before and after the surgery mutually agreed upon. Surgery successfully resolved the problem.

Excellent physician. Dr. Oberlin provided a realistic view of my condition. During the
consultation he was extremely knowledgeable and provided realistic options for my particular situation.
